What are sugar work creations?
Figurines and sculptures that are made of cast, pulled or blown sugar, individually hand sculpted, hand painted to get likeness of what you want. Sugar creations can be use as a decoration on top of a cake, on the side as a display or can be used as a functioning centerpiece holding desserts and fine chocolates.

What size are they?
The size will vary depending on the design. Small creations are based on a 4” or 5” disk. The maximum size for a human figurine, standing position; is about 6” tall. For other creations, the sizes depend on the request If you’d like specific size, please contact Chef Grant Ripp.

How long do they last?
It is sugar so it does melt in heat, direct sunlight or humid conditions. They can last for years! It depends on how you store them.

How do I keep and store them?
Best kept in a glass cabinet to prevent dust, keep in room temperature, away from sunlight.

How to stick them on top of the cake?
Simple! For a cake that is already coated with sugar paste: Just damp the top of the cake with a little bit of water, and let the sculpture sit! you might need to leave it to set it securely. If you need to travel with the cake and the sugar creations on top, it’s best to keep them in the box, separate from the cake, and place them on when needed.

How can I repair them?
Sugar work creations are quite fragile. If they are damaged, you can repair them by heating both ends for a brief moment with a gas torch, heat both areas until clear tiny bubbles appear, then press the two parts together to make the weld complete and let it set.

How far in advance do I need to order them?

Please allow at least six weeks notice to order your sugar work creation.

When to order

It is recommended that you order your sugar creation at least six weeks in advance to ensure availability of chef Grant . All sugar pieces are created on a custom order basis

How do I pay?

When you've received the quotation via email, you can then pay the deposit or the total amount by these following methods :

Your order is confirm when the deposit is received.
I will then send a picture of the sugar art creation for your approval 4-10 days before the required date. Changes on the design that wasn’t mentioned on the first place may occur additional charges. The sugar art creation will be dispatched after the picture has been approved with the final payment.

PayPal - Please add 4 $USD. to the total price by using paypal to cover the paypal charge .Paypal is recommended for overseas customer.
If you don't have to have a Paypal account to pay by paypal. I will send you the Paypal payment request, and just simply follow the instruction given by Paypal.
On arrival the sugar art creation might be liable to a custom charge. Please check with the authorities about this.
